Know Before You Go!

Fair season is upon us, as the 2023 Arizona State Fair returns for yet another memorable season. Here are a few things to know before you go.

The Arizona State Fair opens Friday, September 22 at 4 p.m. and runs through Sunday, October 29, open Thursday – Sunday.  General admission tickets are just $15 per guest, and Fair Fans seven and under are FREE!

The Arizona State Fair operates to parking lots to choose from. The West Parking lot is located on Encanto Blvd., between 19th Ave and 20th Ave and offers guests the most cost-efficient parking at $8. The North Parking lot on Monte Vista Rd. and 19th Ave. for the price of $12, and is just North of the Coliseum. No more driving around aimlessly hoping for a spot to magically appear. Or reserve your space in the VIP lot now for $30, just feet away from the Coliseum.

There are 3 Admission Gates to the Fair: At the intersection of Grand Ave., 19th Ave., and McDowell, one at Monte Vista and 19th Ave., and just north of the Coliseum.  For faster fun, use clear bags for faster entry into the Fair. All bags, purses, backpacks, fanny packs, and diaper bags are inspected before walking through metal detectors. No outside drinks or food will be permitted on the fairgrounds. Food and drinks will be sold by vendors for the full duration of the Fair. (And remember which entrance you came in – after indulging in deep fried fun, you may forget!)

The Coliseum Concerts Series returns, after a pandemic hiatus. The highly-anticipated lineup features some of the hottest names in music: Walker Hayes, Becky G, NE-YO, Brothers Osborne, Violent Femmes, and Carly Pearce. A separate ticket is required to attend as every seat is reserved, and include general admission to the Fair.

Thinking about rides? Three new adventurous rides join the lineup: the Raptor Coaster, the Sling Shot, and the Joker 360. Experience the adrenaline rush by purchasing the Unlimited Ride Wristband on Thursdays for $50. Want faster fun? Purchase the Fast Pass for $30. Both wristbands and Fast Passes must be purchased inside the Fairgrounds that day or they will not be valid.

Although many adorable animals are on the Fairgrounds, only service dogs are welcome provided they are on a leash and fully accompanied at all times. However, service animals are not permitted to accompany guests on rides.

At the Arizona State Fair, we like to have fun but before the festivities can begin, we need to ensure that the fairgrounds stay a safe environment. The safety and the welfare of yourself and others are crucial ingredients for a delightful Fair experience.

For a pleasant and secure visit, all guests must abide by the Arizona State Fair’s Code of Conduct. Disorderly, disruptive, harmful, or criminal behavior will not be tolerated. Unlawful possession of alcohol, illegal substances, or any object defined as a weapon will NOT be permitted. Items such as firearms, tasers, knives with a blade longer than two inches, narcotics, alcoholic beverages, laser pointers, and drones must be left at home and will NOT be allowed within fairgrounds.
