Making Funnel Cake
Who doesn’t love funnel cake? It’s one of the most iconic staples of the fair. Our food kits now allow you to have a bite of the fair at home.
Purchase a Funnel Cake Make at Home Kit. All the ingredients below will come with your fair food kit: no need to worry about searching for ingredients around the house!
Ingredients:

- Funnel cake batter
- 10 oz. cool water
- Frying oil
- Pastry bag
- Powdered sugar
- Chocolate sauce
Instructions:

- Mix the funnel cake batter with the 10 oz. of cool water. Because it’s best to have chilled batter, throw the mixture in the fridge if necessary.
- Take the frying oil and put it in a small pot (the small pot is important so that the batter stays together when fried). Heat the oil to 360-375°.
- Pour the funnel cake batter into the pastry bag. Because this can be a challenge, feel free to place the pastry bag inside a cup to help simplify the process.
- Snip the end of the pastry bag off and pour the batter in a lattice pattern into the oil. (It’s alright if the batter comes out in drips; it will join together while frying).
- Fry both sides of the funnel cake until golden brown (about 30 seconds on both sides).
- Place the fried funnel cake on a towel and dry off the excess oil.
- Once ready, decorate the top of the funnel cake with chocolate sauce and powdered sugar (other toppings work great as well; feel free to experiment and see what you like best).
