Get ready for an amazing blend of learning and fun! The Arizona State Fair’s Read and Ride Program encourages young minds to dive into books while earning their way to rides. Kids 5-14, earn free rides at the Fair.
How to Earn Your Free Ride Passes:
- Pick Your Books: Choose one, two, or three books. Make sure your teacher, parent, or guardian approves them. (Every book earns you one free ride pass, up to a maximum of three passes per child. Titan and Slingshot aren’t included.)
- Write Your Report: Fill out the Official Read and Ride Report Form for each book. Share what it was about and a moment that stuck with you.
- Get Verified: Before you head to the Fair, have your teacher, parent, or guardian sign and verify the Official Read and Ride Report Form.
- Redeem at the Fair: Bring your printed and signed form to the Fair to get your free ride pass(es). You need to be there in person to redeem, and an adult must come with you.

To help you make the most of the Read and Ride program, we suggest starting early by encouraging your kids to read a few weeks before your visit, giving them plenty of time to finish their books. Make a fun trip to your local library, which offers tons of great books for all ages. Also, be sure to plan your day by signing up for the Arizona State Fair App to map out the shows and events your family is most excited to see. Beyond earning free rides, families can enjoy lots of free entertainment like live music from tribute bands, exciting competitive entries, and cool livestock exhibits. With those free ride passes in hand, you’ll truly make the most of your time and experience all the Arizona State Fair has to offer.
