2021 Arizona State Fair: Everything you need to know

Before you head out for the 2021 Arizona State Fair, here are all the handy details you need to know first. With this guide in hand, you’ll be more than ready for all of the fun and excitement of one of the best October events Phoenix has to offer – see you there!

Where to Buy Arizona State Fair Tickets

As always, you can find Arizona State Fair tickets for sale at the gates. But this year, we’re giving you the option to get a head start with the brand-new FunPass app! Skip the ticket lines and toss the paper tickets because the FunPass app makes everything easier, faster, and more convenient when you go digital. Instead of waiting in long lines for entry tickets and rides, you can just tap, scan, and go – here’s how:

    1. Download the FREE FunPass app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
    2. Set up your free account, then click “My Passes.”
    3. Buy your Arizona State Fair tickets with just a few taps.
    4. Your tickets will be stored in the app, no need to print or pick up anything!
    5. When you get to the AZSF, head right to the entrance gates, and we’ll scan your tickets there – it’s that simple!

Planning to bring the whole family to the fair? Then you’ll be happy to hear that Arizona State Fair ticket prices are as affordable as ever. Kids and seniors can qualify for discounted State Fair tickets, and children five and under are free.

When is the Arizona State Fair 2021?

Opening Day for the 2021 State Fair is on Saturday, October 1 (gates open at 5:00pm). There’s nothing quite like being among the first to see all of the exciting new rides, games, and attractions – not to mention snap some great pics to share with all your social media friends! But don’t worry, if you can’t make it out for Opening Day, the AZSF runs through Saturday, October 30, 2021.

October 1 – 30, 2021
Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays

    • Wednesday and Thursday: 12:00pm – 9:00pm
    • Friday: 12:00pm – 10:00pm
    • Saturday: 11:00am – 10:00pm
    • Sunday: 11:00am – 9:00pm

Gates are closed every Monday and Tuesday so that we can keep the fairgrounds, rides, and exhibits in tip-top shape for all our fairgoers. Hours may vary on occasion due to special events or performances. But once you see the iconic La Grande Ferris Wheel dim its legendary lights, it’s time to start making your way to the exit gates.

Parking at the Arizona State Fair

Wondering where to park at the Arizona State Fair? We’ve made parking hassle-free, thanks to multiple lots directly adjacent to the fairgrounds:

    • North Lot parking: Enter at the Monte Vista Gate at 19th Avenue and Monte Vista (the lot is located just north of the AZSF fairgrounds). Fee: $12.00/day.
    • West Lot parking: Enter on Encanto Blvd. between 19th Ave. and 20th Ave (the lot is located directly west from the North Lot and northwest of the fairgrounds). Fee: $8.00/day.
    • VIP Parking in the North Lot: If you’d like to get to the fairgrounds as fast as possible, upgrade to VIP parking to be just steps away from the entrance gates. For families and seniors, VIP parking can be especially convenient. Fee: $25.00/day.

Purchase Arizona State Fair parking passes ahead of time online for the ultimate inconvenience.

You may see parking offered at lots other than the ones noted above, but the North and West Lots are the only official AZSF parking locations. All other lots are privately-owned and subject to owners’ pricing and other stipulations.
