The Arizona State Fair!
We are pleased to host educational opportunities and literacy programs for public, private, charter and home schools, as well as youth organizations. We invite your group to take part in all the Arizona State Fair has to offer in addition to the usual fare!
How the AZSF Field Trip Works:
Register – Complete the online Field Trip Registration Form below. Application must be received no later than October 1 to be considered. All reservations are made on a first come, first served basis.
Confirm – A confirmation letter with check-in location and other details will be emailed after your registration is confirmed. Please allow up to five (5) business days for your request to be processed. All registered children and adult chaperones will be admitted free of charge when checking in as a group.
Arrive – All field trip groups MUST check in at the designated gate between 10:00am-11:30am. Field trip groups are required to present their confirmation email to collect their packet and gain entrance to the Fair. Admission will be charged to chaperones entering separately from their group. Field trip groups MUST check-in and enter prior to 11:30am. No check-ins will be allowed or packets issued after 11:30am (even if group is pre-registered).
**The only item needed to check in is the email confirmation you receive from the Arizona State Fair after your registration is accepted.**
2017 Arizona State Fair Available Field Trip Dates: October 12-13, October 19-20, and October 26.
Field Trip Groups are only allowed to enter between 10:00am – 11:30am.
Field trip groups are encouraged to carpool if not arriving in buses. ALL cars and vans will be charged a per vehicle parking fee on all Field Trip days. Parking is available on the Main Lot. Discount Lot parking will be available starting at 10:00am in the 20th Avenue Lot (located at the SW corner of 19th Ave & Encanto). ADA parking is available in both the Main Lot and Discount 20th Ave Lot.

The Main Attraction is FREE for registered field trip participants ONLY. One (1) FREE ticket will be provided for each student AND each adult chaperone per-registered with a Field Trip group. The Main Attraction for this year’s Arizona State Fair will be announced over the summer.

Code of Conduct
For a fun and safe visit to the Arizona State Fair, all guests must abide by our Code of Conduct. If you have questions regarding the Code of Conduct, please visit the Security Office located at the southwest corner of the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The following are strictly prohibited at the Arizona State Fair and surrounding facilities: • Disorderly, disruptive, harmful or criminal conduct • Unlawful possession of alcohol, narcotics or illegal substances • Possession of any article defined as a weapon.

There are also many information booths on the fairgrounds to answer questions or help direct you to the place you wish to visit. (Show map of locations)
Child Safety and Service
Guests attending the Arizona State Fair may bring in their own food and drink. However, Glass containers and alcohol are prohibited. All containers, backpacks, purses, and bags are subject to search. There are no food/beverage storage facilities available. Please note there may be certain areas, exhibits, or events within the fairgrounds with different restrictions.
How the AZSF Field Trip Works
1. WHAT DO SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS COST?
Field Trips are FREE (during designated dates/times) to registered students AND adult chaperones. Admission will be charged to chaperones entering separately from their group. Chaperones entering separately from their group will be required to buy a regular admission ticket at the gate ($10/person).
2. WHAT ARE THE HOURS FOR THE SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS?
All Field Trip Groups MUST check in between 10:00am – 11:30am at the designated gate. Details for check in will be included in the confirmation that is emailed after your registration form is accepted
3. CAN YOUTH ORGANIZATION GROUPS PARTICIPATE IN THE FIELD TRIP PROGRAM?
Yes, youth organization groups such as Boys and Girls Club, 4-H, and Boy and Girl Scouts may participate as a group in the AZSF Field Trip program only during Field Trip designated dates/times (Oct 12-13, Oct 19-20, and Oct 26; 10:00 am-11:30am). Register as a Field Trip Group by completing the online registration form. Register HERE.
4. HOW DO WE GET OUR MAIN ATTRACTION TICKETS?
Field trip groups will receive their packet including Main Attraction tickets when they check-in after arriving at the Fairgrounds. ONLY the number of Main Attraction tickets requested on the registration form will be provided.
5. WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE INTERACTIVE CURRICULUM PACKET?
Grade level appropriate lesson plans and worksheets for grades K-3, and linked to various exhibits at the Fair are available for your group.
6. CAN WE STAY PAST 11:30?
Your group may stay as long as you’d like. The Arizona State Fair is a HUGE interactive classroom that includes educational exhibits as well as competitive Fine Arts, Home Arts, and Livestock exhibits, and Community Stages. We encourage you to make your trip and experience more meaningful by planning enough time to take in all the Fair has to offer. We invite you to stay for an entire day!
7. IS PARKING FREE?

8. CAN OUR STUDENTS BRING THEIR LUNCH?
Yes, groups may bring bag lunches to the Fairgrounds. HOWEVER, no designated storage areas are available for school lunch coolers, and the AZSF is NOT responsible for lost, spoiled, or missing lunches.
Fair concessions will also be available after the Fair opens at its regular time.
9. ARE FAIR RIDES INCLUDED IN THE SCHOOL FIELD TRIP?
Fair rides are not included as part of the Field Trip Package but are available after the Fair opens at its regular time.
