What to Do at the Arizona State Fair
Fairgoers young and old alike can always discover a wide variety of ways to have a blast at the Arizona State Fair: rides, music, food, and games are just a few of the attractions the fairgrounds have in store. Be sure to check the events calendar and concert lineup, to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the action.
Where to Buy Arizona State Fair Tickets
It’s never been easier to get your tickets to the Fair, with options available to purchase your tickets online and at the event gates. When it comes to ticket prices, Arizona State Fair organizers have always made it their mission to make the event affordable for everyone. In fact, a night out at the fair can cost you less than an evening showing at the movie theater. Kids and seniors qualify for discounted tickets, and children under five are always free.
Where to Park at the Arizona State Fair
When you’re coming to the Arizona State Fair, finding a place to park is easy. There’s plenty of on-site parking right here at the Fairgrounds, with two large lots just north and west of all the Fair fun. North Lot parking is just $10 a day, but you can also upgrade to VIP parking for a spot right next to the entrance gates for $20 (Reserve in Advance). You can also park in the West Lot, which is located between 19th and 20th Ave., for just $5.
When to Visit
The Arizona State Fair Opens Friday, October 4th and runs through Sunday, October 27th, with the gates opening every day of the week except for Mondays and Tuesdays. Daily hours vary, and closing time can change depending on attendance and special events. Once you see the La Grande Wheel dim its lights for the night, it’s time to head out for the night – and start planning your next visit.
Arizona State Fair: FAQs
Here are answers to a few of our guests’ most commonly asked questions:
Can I bring water?
Each fairgoer is permitted to bring in one, unopened 20-ounce bottle of water (no glass, please). Throughout the Fairgrounds, you’ll find water bottle refill stations, making it easy to stay hydrated while you’re on the go.
What precautions are in place to keep guests safe?
Fair organizers value the safety and happiness of our guests, which is why we ask that all fairgoers adhere to the code of conduct. Security will have you go through a metal detector and they will also conduct bag checks at the gates. Guests are asked to leave alcohol, weapons, glass bottles, and selfie sticks at home.
