Intentamos probar casi todos los alimentos $3 de la Feria Estatal de Arizona\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

Has le\u00eddo bien.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Como pasante en la Feria Estatal de Arizona, he visto muchas cosas: familias que se re\u00fanen para pasar un d\u00eda de emoci\u00f3n, amigos que se r\u00eden en su atracci\u00f3n favorita y feriantes que pasean por el recinto ferial con su osito de peluche reci\u00e9n ganado. Pero hay algo que todav\u00eda no he visto: a alguien probando todos los puestos de comida.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Con m\u00e1s de 90 proveedores de comida en la Feria, eso suena como morder m\u00e1s de lo que uno puede masticar. Sin embargo, cuando lleg\u00f3 el $3 Taste of the Fair, no pod\u00eda dejar pasar la oportunidad de sumergirme de cabeza en el pa\u00eds de las maravillas de la comida de la Feria. As\u00ed que cog\u00ed a unos amigos y me lanc\u00e9 a la aventura gastron\u00f3mica m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil de mi vida (spoiler: no lo conseguimos, sino que nos comimos 26 platos en menos de tres horas).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

El plan de juego<\/b><\/p>\n

Ahora, antes de que sigas leyendo, queremos empezar diciendo que sabemos que es un objetivo ambicioso. Por eso, sab\u00edamos que ten\u00edamos que ser estrat\u00e9gicos. El objetivo era sencillo: comer todos los men\u00fas de tres d\u00f3lares de la Feria. Para ello, ten\u00edamos que ir a nuestro ritmo. Parece pan comido, pero con el olor de los pasteles de embudo y las oreos fritas llenando el aire, sab\u00edamos que iba a ser dif\u00edcil. Una vez que empezamos, no pudimos parar.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cl\u00e1sicos de la comida frita\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Una feria no es una feria sin algo frito. Lo primero en nuestra lista fue Funnel Lot (#1) para hacernos con una oreo frita. Rebozadas en una masa cremosa y espolvoreadas con az\u00facar en polvo, estas pegajosas oreos de chocolate no nos decepcionaron. Est\u00e1bamos oficialmente en el tren de la comida frita, y no nos \u00edbamos a bajar pronto.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Screenshot Nuestra siguiente parada fue en Biggy's (#8) para degustar un aperitivo frito muy apreciado: los tater tots. Pero no eran unos tater tots cualquiera. Por tres d\u00f3lares, nos dieron una cesta llena de delicias doradas, calientes y crujientes. Al dar los primeros mordiscos, s\u00f3lo pudimos murmurar un \"mmm\" colectivo. <\/span><\/p>\n

Antes incluso de terminar los tots, otro puesto de comida nos llamaba. Gourmet Burger (#75) fue el siguiente con sus aros de cebolla. Un cl\u00e1sico americano, eran la mezcla perfecta de crujiente y sabroso. Con tanta comida frita, necesit\u00e1bamos algo para beber. Terminamos los aros de cebolla, nos limpiamos el az\u00facar en polvo de la cara y nos dirigimos al siguiente puesto.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Para calmar la sed\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Nuestra primera parada fue para probar una nueva incorporaci\u00f3n a la Feria: los refrescos sucios. Probamos el Dolphin Breeze situado en Cowboy Kettle Corn (#17). La bebida consist\u00eda en un refresco de lima-lim\u00f3n con crema de coco y sirope de frambuesa azul cubierto con tiburones de gominola. Era la bebida con el sabor tropical, burbujeante y refrescante que necesit\u00e1bamos para mantenernos frescos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"ScreenshotMi amiga le ech\u00f3 el ojo al Strawberry Refresher de Swirl Ice Cream (#24). La mezcla helada de fresas frescas y limonada le daba el punto justo de acidez y dulzor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cuando uno piensa en comida de feria, probablemente no le vienen a la cabeza los pl\u00e1tanos, pero para divertirnos, decidimos probar el granizado de pl\u00e1tano de Boba King (#21). Por tres d\u00f3lares, nos sirvieron una cremosa taza de delicias afrutadas. Ni que decir tiene que, siendo el pl\u00e1tano mi fruta favorita, \u00a1me pareci\u00f3 muy a-peeling!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sensaciones saladas\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Llegados a este punto, empez\u00e1bamos a sentir el peso de nuestras decisiones (en sentido figurado y literal). Sin embargo, a\u00fan no est\u00e1bamos listos para rendirnos. Mientras camin\u00e1bamos por el recinto ferial en busca de nuestro pr\u00f3ximo bocado, el olor a ma\u00edz reci\u00e9n hervido llenaba el aire. No pudimos llegar antes a Corn Shack (#37) para probar su Corn in a Cup. Este apetitoso manjar era una explosi\u00f3n de todos los sabores cl\u00e1sicos del ma\u00edz callejero mexicano.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0A continuaci\u00f3n, nos mor\u00edamos de ganas de probar el taco de pescado de Lobster Shack (#54). Si eres un amante de los tacos, \u00e9ste es para ti: pescado tierno y escamoso cubierto con cebolla roja encurtida, cebollas verdes y una salsa picante. Fue una parada ligera pero sabrosa antes de nuestro siguiente puesto de comida.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Como si no hubi\u00e9ramos comido ya bastante, no pudimos resistirnos al postre. Empezamos en Joe Roaster (#73) con su Par de Donuts. Puede que fueran un simple donut de az\u00facar, pero su interior c\u00e1lido y suave con su exterior crujiente y dulce nos hizo querer volver a por m\u00e1s.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Para tomar un refrescante dulce, nos dirigimos a Waffle Cone (#67) a por un Root Beer Float. Esta cl\u00e1sica delicia ten\u00eda el equilibrio perfecto entre la espumosa soda de cerveza de ra\u00edz y el cremoso helado de vainilla. Si lo que buscas es un giro de Feria de la diversi\u00f3n en un flotador tradicional, este es el lugar para ti.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dejando lo mejor para el final, pasamos por Totally Baked Cookie Joint (#31) para tomar unos s\u00e1ndwiches de helado. Las galletas eran gomosas y combinaban perfectamente con el helado rico y cremoso. Despu\u00e9s de tanta comida, me alegro de haber dejado sitio para el postre.<\/span><\/p>\n
