Stevie B is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer, who was influential in the Latin freestyle and Hi-NRG dance music scene of the late 1980s, mostly in Miami. Stevie B is perhaps best known for his 1990 number-one hit ballad "Because I Love You (The Postman Song)".

Known by her stage name, Lisa Lisa, she and her band, "Cult Jam", produced 5 albums that sealed their fame in New York City's thriving musical scene. She scored top 10 hits with songs like "I Wonder If I Take You Home," "All Cried Out," "Let The Beat Hit Em", "Lost In Emotion", "Little Jackie" and "Head to Toe".

Nu Shooz In April 1985 Valerie Day, John Smith, and their band NU SHOOZ, released the five-song EP ‘Tha’s Right!’ Acting on a dare from a local music writer, DJ Gary Bryan of Portland Oregon’s KKRZ put the song “I Can’t Wait” on the air. Listener reaction was strong and immediate- the kind of response known in radio jargon as ‘Instant Phones.’ Their signature hit “I Can’t Wait’ still plays somewhere on Earth every eleven minutes.
J.J. Fad is a rap group from Rialto, California whose name stands for Just Jammin Fresh and Def. The group's most notable hit was 1988's "Supersonic," which made J.J. Fad the first female rap group to earn a Grammy nomination. In 2006 Fergie (Black Eyed Peas) used it for her song entitled " Fergalicious", which went 5 times platinum and put J.J. Fad back to the forefront.
