Questions for school field trips

 

1. Can we bring school lunches?

Yes.  Classes may bring bag lunches to the Fairgrounds.

2. If yes, where do we put them?

Along the wall in the northwest corner of the North Coliseum Hall, in the area indicated.

3. What time do the rides start?

Rides open at 12 noon.

4. What time do the food stands open?

A limited number of food booths will be open at 12pm. All booths and rides will open at noon.

5. What days are wristband days?

6. What are the hours for school field trips?

All School field trips must check in between 9am - 11:30am. Check-in location will be sent with confirmation. Cars and vans will park in the employee parking lot, located at the northwest corner of 19th Ave and Encanto Blvd. You will receive your confirmation, check in location, parking passes, tickets and other information after the application deadline, via postal mail.

7. Where do we redeem the Ride & Ride forms?

Avoid waiting in line by using our Will Call option. Submit your student's signed forms at least three days prior to your class field trip date, then pick up the ride passes when your class is at Guest Services, located on the southwest corner outside the Coliseum. Guest Services and rides open at 12 noon Wednesday - Friday. The students must be present to pick up ride passes. Please send your class forms to:

9. Can we stay all day?

School Field Trips may stay as long as your transportation is available.

10. What is there for kids to do?

 

Great American Petting Zoo: Pet, feed and learn about many different kinds of animals.

Teachers MUST complete and return the Class Permission Form (enclosed) prior to entering the exhibit. No exceptions.

12.What do school field trips cost?

Costs: 1 Teacher/Chaperone to 5 students FREE, additional teachers/chaperones must pre-pay $5.00. All children are free. Fee will be waived if school is special needs/ADA school.
