Employment at the Fair
The Arizona State Fair will open this year on October 10, 2008 and continue through November 2, 2008. We will begin hiring for the below listed temporary positions after August 1, 2008. After that date you will be able to apply Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in our Human Resource Office in the lower level of the Coliseum (west side). For additional information call 602 257 7123 or 602 257 7196. Day and evening positions are available. Applicants who are able to work each day of the fair are given priority in hiring.
LABORER/CUSTODIAN
The laborer positions will start work during the month of September, while the custodian positions will begin work with the start of the Fair. Primary positions will work 7 days a week for the entire run of the Fair. Anyone hired for these positions must have reliable transportation. These positions clean the grounds and/or buildings and restrooms and restock them for our guests use. Laborers must be able to lift 50 pounds or more and provide the physical labor to set up or take down an event.
CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (CSR)
These positions provide crowd control and/or seating assistance for our guests. Good people skills and a pleasant demeanor are a must to serve as a Customer Service Representative. You will be provided with a shirt but must provide your own black pants and black shoes. A MINIMUM OF 18 YEARS OF AGE FOR THESE POSITIONS IS REQUIRED.
CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE/PARKING (CSR)
There is a minimum age requirement of 16 years of age for CSR/Parking Attendants. Preference is shown for those that are able to work full-time/part-time, 7 days a week for the entire run of the Fair. The positions work in our parking lots directing our patrons to open parking locations and guiding vehicles off of the property in a safe manner. You must be able to be on your feet for prolonged periods of time in all weather conditions.
ADMISSIONS/MIDWAY AND PARKING SELLERS
TICKET SELLER/TICKET TAKER
Positions will start with the Fair. Dependable, conscientious workers are being sought. You must have recent money handling experience for the ticket sales positions. Additionally you must be able to be on your feet for prolonged periods of time for the ticket taker positions. THERE IS A MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT OF 18 YEARS FOR THESE POSITIONS.
